Latest Updates from Our Project:

Kickstarter 11 is LIVE!
almost 3 years ago – Tue, May 16, 2023 at 12:18:52 PM

Hey folks, Adam here from the PD team with a quick note: Peak Design's 11th Kickstarter is LIVE, and blew past it's funding goal in less than an hour. HOOWEE it's great to be back!

Micro Clutch: a beautiful new strap specially designed for your beautiful mirrorless camera.

We made Micro Clutch because over the years, cameras have gotten smaller. Yet hands—believe it or not—have remained the same size. The average full-frame camera of today is half the size it used to be. Meanwhile, handthropologists maintain that our hands are just as big and dumb as they were 100 years ago. It's science.

To learn more, head on over to our Kickstarter 11 campaign page and watch the new video.

While you're there, note that Micro Clutch isn't the only thing available at an exclusive Kickstarter discount. Get the PD Travel Tripod and other camera accessories for as much as 31% off. And after you select a reward, you'll have the ability to add on Peak Design Mobile products at a Backer-exclusive 50% discount. Yep, you read that right.

As always, thank you for your support—past, present, and future. We return to Kickstarter time and time again because we believe this is a better way to bring products to life. Kickstarter keeps Peak Design free of investors, which in turn lets us focus on designing great products and brings our customers closer to our design process.

Again, thank you. It's great to be back.

Imagine a Travel Bag, but for your phone.

Hello Backers!

Joe here, from the PD Marketing squad. You seem like the type who likes Kickstarter, and Peak Design. So I wanted to drop a quick reminder about our latest KS, for our ecosystem of Mobile mounts and accessories. You've got just a few hours left to get in there and back Kickstarter #10 to lock in a pretty burly discount on the whole thing.

The most obsessively designed collection of phone cases and accessories on the planet.

There ain't much a dollar can buy these days.

But for a few more hours, $1 gets you the ability to lock-in exclusive Kickstarter prices (up to 30% off) on the best damn phone accessories on the planet. Back now, pay a buck, and pick the products you want in a few months when we're ready to ship. Of course, you can back for more than a dollar and we certainly won't stop you from it...but for all the tire kickers out there, we just added the $1 Back Now, Pick Later reward to make things easier than ever.    In the final hours of this Kickstarter campaign, every new buck and new backer helps rev up the momentum big-time. As always, your support means the world to us.

Thank you for your unwavering dopeness.

Your phone deserves better: Kickstarter 10 is live.
over 5 years ago – Fri, Oct 30, 2020 at 01:54:05 AM

Howdy Travel Line backers,

A mere 10 days ago, we launched a brand new product line on Kickstarter: Mobile, by Peak Design. And if you're not the type to get hyped-up by phone cases and accessories, well, we think that's about to change.

So, why should you be excited about a phone case?

Because we just launched the best phone case (and accessories) that you've ever seen.

At least we think so. We created an ecosystem of cases, mounts, accessories, and chargers that will make your phone a better tool for everything you do. The ecosystem is made possible by a new connection system—called SlimLink—that let's you attach your phone to anything, and do so with ease, delight, and peace-of-mind.

From there, we designed a wide array of accessories that better adapt your phone to any activity. Like all PD gear, these products are beautiful, durable, and painstakingly thoughtful—each one with a legitimate claim to be the best in its category.

Now, let's roll that beautiful bean footage:

We could go on and on, but right now, we suggest you head on over to our 10th Kickstarter Page. Watch the video. Look at all the gifs. And if you're ready to make your phone a better tool, we'd love your support.

After all, it's your past support that enables us to keep designing and launching better gear—in the present, and in the future. Thank you for continuing to believe in us.

Climate Neutral needs your help.
over 6 years ago – Wed, Oct 16, 2019 at 12:45:48 AM

Howdy Travel Line Backers,

Typically when we post updates to past campaigns, we're sharing the latest Peak Design creation available on Kickstarter. Well, this too is a note informing you of a Kickstarter that just launched. Only this time, it's much bigger than Peak Design.

Climate Neutral Certified: A certification label that will help fight climate change faster. We need your help on Kickstarter to bring it to life.

Moments ago, a Kickstarter campaign was launched for Climate Neutral Certified.

Climate Neutral Certified is a label. When you see it on a product, you know the company that made it measures, reduces, and offsets all the greenhouse gases they emit. The world needs this to become the new minimum standard of sustainability, and we need your help to make that happen.

We urge you to back this campaign, right now.

For as little as $5, you can help bring the Climate Neutral Certified Label to life. In doing so, you are stoking a movement for businesses to measure, reduce, and offset all of their greenhouse gas emissions.

For $100, you can pay to offset your own carbon footprint...you're not only funding the campaign, you're becoming part of the solution yourself.

Do you run a business? Join Climate Neutral Certified. Pledge $1000 to secure your commitment and to pre-purchase carbon offsets for the 2020 calendar year.

The world needs this label to become the new minimum standard for sustainability.

Peak Design is already Climate Neutral Certified. 50+ businesses have already committed to doing so in 2020.

With your help, thousands of businesses will be measuring, reducing, and offsetting their emissions next year. In doing so, they will accelerate the development and implementation of clean energy, reforestation, low-carbon agriculture, and other carbon sequestration technologies.

Got questions? Head over to the Climate Neutral Kickstarter page for answers.

These brands have already committed to become Climate Neutral Certified. Recognize a few? With your help, this list of logos will become far too long to fit on this page.

Kickstarting the fight against climate change.

Sure, it sounds a bit corny. But it's true. We at Peak Design know what can happen when thousands of likeminded people bring an idea to life through crowdfunding.

In 2017, Peak Design researched what it would take to become entirely carbon neutral. After an extensive footprint analysis, we estimated our annual carbon footprint to be about 30,000 tonnes of CO2e. Offsetting all of that costs 1/5th of a percent of our annual revenue. We were stunned. We asked ourselves "why aren't all businesses doing this?"

That question led us to our friends (and carbon neutrality experts) at BioLite. In early 2019, Peak Design and BioLite co-launched Climate Neutral as an independent nonprofit aimed at creating an easy path to carbon neutrality for all businesses. We've spent months honing our messaging and recruiting businesses to join. Now, it's time to take this thing to the big stage.

To make a dent in climate change, systemic action must be taken. Climate Neutral Certified presents a framework for that action. This Kickstarter is our chance to ignite the widespread changes our planet desperately needs.

We can do this. Thank you for your help.

Duffel & Duffelpacks are shipped, plus, the Carry Awards!
almost 7 years ago – Fri, Jun 28, 2019 at 02:05:54 AM

Ahoy Travel Line backers,

BIG news for you Duffel and Duffelpack backers. But first, we need your help.

Every year our favorite design nerd website, Carryology, conducts the Carry Awards. The Carry Awards are basically the Oscars for people who make things that carry other things. This year, 3 of our Travel Line bags are up for consideration, and to win, they need your votes. So, if you're feeling inclined, please take a sec to click on the 3 images below and cast your vote. Thanks!

BEST CARRY-ON BAG: TRAVEL BACKPACK 45L

From Carryology: "Peak Design’s take on a travel backpack delivers their signature combination of sleek styling and bold innovation. The result? A savvy travel companion that adapts to a variety of loads and settings for enhanced travel flexibility."

BEST ACCESSORY: TECH POUCH

From Carryology: "Instead of a single sack-like compartment, the pouch offers a selection of origami-inspired pockets that make good use of the internal space while allowing you to easily see items at a glance and quickly access what you need without having to rummage through a jumbled mess."

BEST TRAVEL LUGGAGE: TRAVEL DUFFELPACK 65L

From Carryology: "It packs in handy features such as an expandable design that grows from 45L to 65L when required. Not to mention stowable backpack straps and a stowable waist belt when you need to haul heavy loads over long distances, plus grab handles on all sides."

DUFFELS AND DUFFELPACKS HAVE SHIPPED!

Thaaaaat's right! As of yesterday, all Travel Duffel and Travel Duffelpack reward shipments have been processed by our 6 global warehouses. If you backed either or both of these stellar bags, you should be receiving a shipping notification via email (the email associated with your Kickstarter account) soon, if you haven't already. Depending on your location it could take up to 2-3 weeks for the shipment to be delivered, but a vast majority of folks should be getting their bags in less than 2 weeks (3-5 business days if you're in the US).

We're beyond stoked to finally get these bags into your hands. The process took a bit longer than we originally anticipated, but in our opinion, the outcome was well worth it. Never before have we involved customers so deeply in the design phase of our product cycle. The result? A pair of exceptionally unique products that are as functional as they are beautiful.

We were serious about incorporating your feedback into the design of these bags. Backers demanded a 65L gear hauler that could also fly. So, we gave it flight capabilities.

We're anxious to hear and see your reactions. If you're a sosh-meeds type of person, please feel free to tag us (@peakdesign on Insta, @peakdesignltd on Twitter) with your thoughts! You can also feel free to leave a review on our website for the Duffelpack or Duffel.

If you have any issues or questions about your Duffel/Duffelpack shipment, please hit us up at [email protected].

Lastly, for those of you who didn't pre-order via the Kickstarter campaign, Duffelpacks are now available on our website. Duffels will be for sale beginning July 2nd.

Until next time, happy shooting!
